Large Banners Are Better

Hey everyone,

I started fleshing out the units for both sides so it would make sense than a random group of medieval looking guys thrown in a pile. Both sides will soon have 10 men at arms and 10 archers each and I'm also working on the lords that all started the wars and their retinue/bodyguards.

Last week I built the Ravenstone side and couldnt wait to get them finished.

So without further blabbing here is Lord Solomon Ravenstone and his guards and banner carrier.

Solomon is one of those lords that prefers to fight things out on the ground. He believes that when the majority of his men are fighting on the ground so should he. Right next to them.

This is Solomons banner. It's a larger version of the general banner with a few added things.

I hope you like what you see and will tell me what you think of them in the comments.

House Brightstorm

Hey everyone,

I have been working my butt off the past couple of days just so I could show you these right after the Ravenstone knights. I have to say I am really loving the Perry Miniatures miniatures. They are a blast and exactly what I was looking for. If you have not yet seen their new French knight greens quickly head on over to their facebook or just stick around here until they release next year because I will surely incorporate them here.

For now I would just like to show you these guys. They are the foot knights (and archers) of house Brightstorm. They are the royal house trying to quel the rebelling Ravenstone forces.

I hope you enjoy and will tell me what you think.

House Ravenstone

Hey Everyone, I have another update for you. These are the first knights for house Ravenstone. They are a rebellious house that I made up. They will be the main force of the rebellous side and the leading house. In a later stage I plan to add allies to them as I already made up a bunch of houses.

And the banner on its own.

The First Raven

Hey everyone,

Before I started the knights armies I wanted to first see if one of my colour schemes would work. So I used this collection of warhammer bits to build a fat knight. He is probably a different scale than the Perry models but because he has large bones it will likely not stand out so much as being a miniature from a different range.

These is the colours I wish to use for my rebelling army named house Ravenstone.

I hope you like him and will tell me in the comments.

New Loot

Hey Everyone,

I think this blog has shown already that I am a hobby butterfly. It means I hop from project to project and hope to eventually finish something.

One of those things has always been building a giant knight army. My very first models were the bretonnian bowmen (the monopose ones). I always liked playing with knights and having a large force of them. I considered doing this with lego's when I found out about a thing called historica (look it up, it's very cool) but that seemed very expensive. I don't feel that the current Bretonnians offer enough to build what I want.

I turned towards the Perry brothers instead. They have a large range of models that would suit my purpose here. I decided to get me some and without really attaching any game (I'm sure I will at some point) I want to build and paint. Spending the last couple of weeks working on houses and ways to create banners etc. using the ideas that have been stuck in my mind for so long until finally my models arrived.

So this will be something new that hopefully I will be able to show you a lot of. I'll tag it for now as Knights armies. Here is my new loot so far.Probably not the last with the announced french models.

Bring The Beast

Hey everyone,

Last week I felt like building something so I picked up my Khorgoroth.
I didn't really like the creepy head so I fabricated something of my own. This is the result:

I hope you like him.

Sound the Horn

Hey everyone,

I have something to show here once more. I have been busy with all kinds of things Khorne again but it looks like I am starting to form a nice warband.

The big butterfly that I am I made a side trip to a forsaken that I will play as having the mark of Khorne ofcourse.

I worked some more on the blood warriors and the gorefist unit has now got three finished.

And something else I really enjoy doing is taking cool pictures of my miniatures as if they are charging into battle.

I hope you like them and will tell me what you think in the comments and perhaps share my blog with some of your wargaming friends.

Crimson Clad

Hey everyone,

I have some more things to show you. My local games workshop has been closed for a couple of weeks and last week I visited there when they celebrated their birthday. I did not see the wonderful Slaughterpriest model come out and my awesome girlfriend decided to gift me one.

And new shiny things always spark new inspiration. So I sat down and finished some more of the Khorne models.

Slaughterpriest himself. He is such an imposing model. I made him just a bit taller by putting him on a rock on the base.

Maybe not my best work but still a great addition to the army. (I'll get there, you'll see, don't judge me!)

And the champion for the double axe Blood Warrior unit.

I hope you like them and will tell me in the comments.

Soon more Khorne, I'm also thinking about  a fun new project, something with a lot of knights(yeah maybe I should wait but we all know that doesnt work) and I've been thinking about a cool Orktober event where I paint some more of my greenskin for this month. If you have a good idea or something to say about what I should do first let me know.
